Capabilities
The area computer auditing is so vast that at time major firms need to employ a minimum an auditor to evaluate the IT Applications, and another to audit the Technical. Having worked for 4 Blue Chip companies in the past 14 years, I have managed to obtain training in both areas giving me the capability of providing my client with a complete IT audit service. Further to this I have audited into a number of different IT environments including networks, internet, UNIX, AS400 and mainframes etc.
I am also qualified as an internal auditor thus giving me the bridge between the IT environment and the business environment.
General Controls.
IT General Controls are audited in terms of the 34 processes in the COBIT Framework on which the risk assessments are built. Thus enabling the controls to align with the risk assessment working papers. This means that ALL the IT disciplines are covered. |
